SS316/316L and application-specific alloy options are available, subject to product configuration and application requirements, with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 options where suitable for the configuration and application.
Engineering Features
- 2-Way & 3-Way Configurations: Available in thermal safety configurations for hydraulic control-pressure venting and line isolation applications.
- Thermally Activated Fusible Element: A calibrated fusible element melts at the selected temperature to initiate automatic hydraulic control-pressure release during a fire or excessive-temperature event.
- Defined Safe-State Operation: Thermal activation causes the normally open 3-way valve to transition to its designated safe state and vent the hydraulic control circuit.
- High-Pressure Hydraulic Service: Designed for hydraulic control service up to 10,000 PSI, with pressure capability dependent on the selected configuration.
- Multiple Temperature Settings: Available with calibrated thermal activation settings from 158°F (70°C) to 281°F (138°C), including intermediate temperature options.
- Passive Thermal Protection: Provides automatic thermal protection for hydraulic safety-control circuits without external power or manual intervention.
Target Applications
Thermal ESD systems, offshore wellhead panels, burner fuel shut-off, refinery process safety, and offshore fire safety circuits.
